NAVOCAP has recently joined the ITxPT association (Information Technology for Public Transport) Association as a Principal Member.

Launched by the UITP (International Organisation for Public Transport), the mission of the ITxPT association is to support the deployment of standards and practices for onboard plug-and-play IT-systems for public transport and the related back-office features. The ITxPT association leads a joint effort to feed, support, promote and contribute to the evolution of the standard.

As a member of ITxPT , Navocap affirms itself as a forerunner among the mobility actors, participating to the development of European solutions in mobility matters.

Navocap is looking forward to further cooperate with all the members. The exchange of best practices and experience will play a decisive role in achieving the implementation of standards, thanks to standardized process. Therefore, the cooperation within the association opens great perspectives, such as R&D partnerships, which have always been essential for Navocap. The society uses 18% of its turnover in R&D projects.

For 25 years NAVOCAP, French company, has designed, manufactured and installed Real Time Passengers Information System (RTPI), Computer Aided Dispatch and Automatic Vehicle Location systems (CAD/AVL).

NAVOCAP has developed two innovative solutions that comply with the requirements of the sector:

  • EasyGo, ensuring a simple and economical compliance upgrade. Very easy to implement, EasyGo provides a low cost DPI solution which is accessible and straightforward to maintain.
  • SiCae, a bespoke CAD/AVL solution that adapts to your requirements. The SiCae solution is based on highly sophisticated modular features that meet all requirements, including Bus Rapid Transit systems (BRT) and tramway projects.

A total of around 5,500 vehicles are equipped with the company’s on-board equipment. Navocap generated a turnover of € 4.4 million in 2014. Around 90 percent of the company’s revenues are accounted for by the company’s AVL/RTPI business.
