We’ll be discussing the ITxPT label!
Before a product can be granted the ITxPT label, it must pass extensive compliance tests conducted by the ITxPT laboratory. This evaluation process ensures that the product complies with the ITxPT technical specifications, ensuring unitary conformity and a smoother integration process.
The ITxPT technical specifications can be found in the ITxPT documentation center, which you can access by registering free of charge.
Any supplier can apply for the ITxPT label from the Documentation Center, which certifies that the vehicle, equipment, software or service complies with ITxPT standards and specifications. The ITxPT label is granted after successful completion of the labeling process defined below. It is mandatory to complete all the steps of the labeling process.
The label can be applied to a:
The ITxPT label is offered as part of a clear, step-by-step process supported by the ITxPT laboratory. It should be noted that the tests only assess technical compliance and not functional performance.
The compliance test templates describe the test report used to validate the compliance with the related specification. These templates can be found in the Test templates page.
The labeling process begins only after you have implemented the ITxPT specifications and completed your development phase. Ensure you thoroughly analyze and understand the interoperability goals defined by the ITxPT specifications, freely available in the documentation center.
The ITxPT laboratory operates as a neutral testing entity and will not provide any development support, cables, hardware manipulation, code, or test tools. This ensures fairness, impartiality, and accountability, requiring participants to fully manage and take responsibility for their setup and development.
Unresolved errors or regression after corrections will result in test failure and terminate the labeling process. Failures should be viewed as valuable learning opportunities. Suppliers are encouraged to re-apply after resolving identified issues and leveraging insights gained to improve their chances of success.
By applying, you commit to complete the labelling process within a maximum of 4 months. All requests are added to the compliance tests requests queue managed by the ITxPT laboratory on a 1st-come (fee paid), 1st-served basis and on its availability. The ITxPT laboratory will inform each applicant in due time of the specific start and end dates of its labeling process, which should generally be completed within a maximum of 4 months.
Before starting any step further, you will have to pay a fee or use a credit (see membership). The detailed fee is described in the compliance service page. Note that travel and logistics costs are excluded from the service and must be managed by the applicant. A quotation is sent after reviewing your label request.
