Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority

The Capitol Corridor is an intercity passenger rail service of 18 stations in 8 Northern California counties, in a 170-mile rail corridor. An extensive, dedicated motorcoach network provides bus connections to serve the second-largest urban service area in the Western United States.

In late 2013, CCJPA started a plan to transform the service for the Northern California Mega-region. The overarching goal is a modern railroad built to international standards, electrified and capable of top speeds of 150 miles per hour, dramatically reducing travel times between major cities in Northern California.
