S04P04 Logon: A common framework for Public Transport logon processes
The new S04P04-Logon v1.0.1 specification was released on 8 July. The Logon feature set, addresses personnel identity, presence, and authorisation management. It also supports the confirmation of service and task assignments, helping to ensure that planned activities are carried out as intended.
Why it matters
The Logon Specification was developed to overcome fragmentation in logon processes by establishing a common, interoperable framework for identifying personnel, assignments, and operational activities across public transport modes. The specification was built based on the functional requirements, output of the corresponding RC working group (RWG03).
