ITxPT Specifications are available to anyone for free, as well to Public Transport Authorities and Operators to issue tenders with related references, as to Industry suppliers to answer or to propose systems for compliance (see below).

In addition to regularly updated Technical Specifications, related Deployment Guidelines are available on the ITxPT Wiki / Documentation Center – simply require a public access on the right frame.

Technical Specifications describe physical requirements (connectors, wiring, enclosures, power supply and management), overall architecture, generic mechanisms, communication protocols and data models.
Deployment Guidelines support concrete adoption, implementation and deployment of the specifications (expression of needs, dimensions, templates).

The Wiki provides 3 sets of Specifications and corresponding Guidelines:

Technical SpecificationsDeployment guidelines
S01 – Installation Requirement
How to prepare vehicles to receive ITxPT compliant modules?
G01 – Vehicle installation
S02 – Onboard Architecture
How to interface systems and share data onboard?
G02 – Vehicle and interface with backoffice systems
 S03 – Backoffice Architecture
How to interface systems and share data in backoffice?
G03 – Backoffice systems interoperability

The ITxPT Association proposes test procedures to validate compliance of systems on an integrated platform. Using these test-benches limits the risk and ensure that the interpretations of the specifications are correct. These platforms are accessible physically or remotely according to the membership level (see here).

If you are not a member yet, you may consider becoming ITxPT Member in order to be part of the ITxPT work-in-progress and use the test-benches.
