ITxPT exhibited the test-bench on his stand during the 60th UITP World Congress held in Geneva from 26thto 30th May, 2013.
The 60th World Congress and Mobility & City Transport Exhibition focused on the urgent need to transform urban mobility: with unchallenged car dependency, cities across the world will lose out in competiveness and wealth creation failing to attract both businesses and people.
Conventional public transport leaves gaps in the total mobility chain of people’s everyday journeys. People need to be offered a wide range of comfortable and easily available options that fit with their own lifestyle values and facilitated by emerging technologies.
This requires a comprehensive review of the current service portfolio and the creation of a ‘one-stop-shop’ for information and payment.
ITxPT exhibited the test-bench built in the frame of the EBSF project (European Bus System of the Future) which is a unique integrated IT platform reproducing onboard IT systems with their associated back-offices.
Some figures about the 60th UITP World Congress in Geneva:
- 2097 participants from 78 countries
- 25,867 visitors across the 30,000m2 of exhibition space
- 326 exhibitors among which ITxPT
